New Small Groups Start in September

Starting the first week of September, we have new small groups starting up at several different places and on different days. Check out the post below and read about each study and click on the map link for directions.

It is so vital for you to be part of a small group; to grow as a follower of Christ, it is important to go on the journey with other believers. Find the group that best fits your needs.

If you have any questions about the groups or about where you might best fit, contact Pastor Jim at jim@orchardchurch.com. Take time this fall to invest into your relationship with God by joining a small group Bible study.

Rootworks Small Groups Open House - August 28

God loves to plant us in His word and grow us into fruit bearing followers of Jesus. August 28 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, there will be an open house for all of the new small group Bible studies that are beginning in September. This event will be held at the Orchard Church office at 818 Salem Street. Come make yourself an ice cream sundae, meet the leaders of each group and find the right place for you to grow as a follower of Jesus. Some of the groups that you can look forward to are:

- Connections; a Sunday morning discipleship group meeting during the 10:45 am service discussing a variety of biblical and Godly living topics; Group will be led by Ron and Sharon Stubbs and meets at the Chico Country Day School.
- Decisions/Monday Night Men's Group; a Bible study for men on making Godly decisions. Meets at the Men's House. Group is led by Brent Morrison.
- Marriage and Monday Night Football; a Bible study focused on developing a marriage relationship based on Godly principles. And it's Monday, so of course the MNF game is on before and after the study! Group will be led and hosted by Jim and Annie Culp.
- Corpus Christi/The Body of Christ; a Tuesday night group focusing on lessons from the life of Jesus and seeing how we can practically live out those lessons in our life. Group will be led and hosted by Jim and Annie Culp.
- Lost and Found/Attributes of God Study; a Wednesday night study looking at the nature and character of God and showing us how to fall more in love with God each day. Each week following the study, the group will watch the TV show Lost. Group will be led and hosted by Pat Mathers.
- Spiritual Journey; a Thursday Night, Christian 12-step group for those in recovery from substance abuse addictions. Group is led by Clyde Baker and meets at the Men's House.
